I am a licensed mental health therapist with over 10 years of experience in providing clinical social work services and therapy techniques using evidence-informed treatment models. I use an insight-oriented approach to therapy, focusing on the client’s unconscious processes and how they manifest in current behavior, thoughts, and emotions. I have a strong interest in working with clients experiencing life transitions, relationship conflicts, and maternal mental health conditions. The goals I have for therapy include helping the client build self-awareness and understanding how past influences show up in the client’s life today. I focus on relationship patterns, childhood experiences, unresolved conflicts or beliefs, and what may or may not motivate a client. I help clients reframe current situations and act as a personal trainer for the mind, heart, and soul, guiding them in listening, validating, clarifying, exploring, empathizing, and understanding.

I have a growth mindset approach to my work and am committed to embracing evidence-informed research. That being said, research shows us that success in therapy relies most on the relationship between the client and therapist and that it is a relational experience and an opportunity for connection. What might work for your friend might not work for you. I am here to serve your best interests and to support what works best for you. I will challenge you and make you feel uncomfortable at times. If you are a person who is not ready or willing for this kind of therapy, I may not be the therapist for you. I see my job as helping folks become historians of their own lives, understand the patterns of their relationships, build connections, and stay curious.
